Welcome to My Sweet Lorraine!

I'm delighted that you're here! Let me introduce myself. I'm Lorraine Hannigan and I currently live in Roseville, CA. My husband Kevin and I moved here July 2004 from the Bay Area in California where I have lived all my life. I really like it here and we have a beautiful new home which we enjoy along with our three cats, Misty, C.C., and Molly. I retired from SBC phone Company in 2002 and spent two years working on my web site and finding jewelry for it. I now am employed again but still have time to locate all sorts of great stuff.

My Sweet Lorraine is a dream come true for me. As a child, I spent many hours peering into my mother's jewelry box. I have wonderful memories of trying on her rhinestone necklaces and lovely brooches and wishing that they were mine. Later, when I started going to flea markets, the lure of displays of jewelry with sparkling stones in a rainbow of colors was simply irresistible. Shopping for antique costume jewelry became my favorite pastime and I dreamed of not only adding to my collection, but sharing my treasures with others.

When I discovered that I could buy and sell pieces of jewelry on online auctions, I was in heaven! Now I can justify my excursions to estate sales, flea markets, and garage sales for new pieces to sell - and sometimes add a piece to my own collection. I also have found great accessories such as purses, compacts, clothes, which I will be offering soon.
