Each piece of jewelry is rated according to condition. The condition rating does not refer to its original quality. Remember that costume jewelry was inexpensively made, but because many of the manufacturers first created fine jewelry, the quality can be surprisingly good. Quality is difficult to rate and is not always apparent in pictures.

Every attempt has been made to accurately describe each piece of jewelry. Be aware that your browser can affect color and appearance of jewelry. Please feel free to email me with questions about size, appearance, condition, or markings before ordering.

Mint: Brand new, never removed from the original box. This rating is rare and almost never used.
Near mint:    Appears to never have been worn or used or improperly stored. It may be tarnished (particularly silver), but when it is polished, it is no longer considered Near mint.
Excellent: Top condition with no chipping, fading, missing stones, yellowing stones, peeling, worn prongs or edges. Backs, especially earrings, may be very slightly worn as long as the front is still in top condition. Replaced stones should be so perfect in size, cut, and color that it is virtually unnoticeable.
Very good: Well cared for with no missing stones, dead or graying stones. No peeling pearls. Only minor chips on enamel. Backs may be slightly worn. Replaced stones should be a good match in size, cut, and color.
Good: Very wearable. Upon close inspection, may reveal poor foiling, including spotting (pepper-looking spots), minor clouding, and minor darkening or graying stones, chipping, or minor yellowing and wear.
Fair: Damage is immediately visible. May or may not be repairable. Might include missing stones, dark stones including more than "pepper" spotting, broken parts and severe wear.
